St. John's Outreach Center 160 Chestnut Street, Lockport; will host an Open House on Sunday, June 8th from 9:00am-1:30pm. Take the opportunity to tour the largest Outreach project of it's kind in Niagara County. You can visit the new furniture and appliance distribution center, our state of the art adult education room, Sr. Helen's Food Pantry, and enjoy refreshments that will be served in the dining room and relax in the informal meeting room. Representatives from a variety of organizations and committees including Orleans Niagara BOCES will be on hand to explain their programs on the second floor. There will be information on the countless programs offered through the Center. Volunteers will be available to give tours and answer questions.
St. John’s Altar & Rosary Society announces that again this year it will grant four Scholarship Awards of $250.00 to eligible students. The awards will be given to graduating seniors who are participating members of St. John’s Parish. Students who are seniors in Public and Catholic High Schools are encouraged to apply. Applications are available at the Parish Office. The deadline for return of the applications will be Monday, May 12, 2008.
